I'm a bit obsessed with surf videos. Not the surfing so much, I find that terrifying. I love the lifestyle. The passion. The sacrifices.
The video I came across this evening marries surfing with travel, appreciating nature, living the expat life, adapting to your chosen country and doing whatever you can to follow your passions in life.
Big Wave Surfer Barry Mottershead is a South African living in Ireland. In this ten minute video he talks about surfing, obviously, and how he is able to make it his life.
"If I can show people what I love .... make enough money to put food on the table .... there's nothing more I'd want. It's the perfect existence."
I find it inspiring, terribly interesting and quite motivating. What do you think? Also, what a beautiful country Ireland is! So lush. My ancestors are Irish and Scottish. I must visit one day.
